Talk: Google Science Fair Grand Prize Winner

Shree Bose was the grand prize winner of the first ever Google Science Fair in 2011; which drew more than 10,000 entrants from 91 countries. At just 17 years old, she took home the top prize for her research on drug resistance in ovarian cancer. Now a senior at Harvard, Shree will talk about her lifelong love of science, from turning spinach blue in 2nd grade to her award-winning cancer research, and her advocacy for STEM education. Her talk will answer the question: How Can We Make the World Better With Science?

Shree Bose

As a student with a passion for biology and medicine, Shree Bose won the 17-18 year old age category and the Grand Prize winner of the first ever Google Global Science Fair in 2011. Fast-forward five years, Bose graduated from Harvard and go on to medical school at Duke. She also cofounded a company called "Piper," which makes an electronics toolkit to get kids interested in engineering.
