Lupita Nyong'O

Nyong'o made her debut in 2008 with her role in East River. She had her first feature film role as Patsey in Steve McQueen's historical drama 12 Years a Slave, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2013. Nyong'o co-starred in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as force-sensitive space pirate Maz Kanata, a CGI character created using motion capture technology.

Pascale Armand

Pascale Armand is award-winning actor. Pascale has appeared on Broadway in the history-making production of Eclipsed by Danai Gurira and The Trip to Bountiful with Ms. Cicely Tyson, embodying Shakespearean characters, performing in solid works of African-Amercian playwrights, and originating characters in premieres of contemporary pieces like 'Jupiter' in Kia Corthron's Breath, Boom.

Akosua Busia

Akosua Gyamama Busia (born 30 December 1966 is a Ghanaian actress, film director, author and songwriter who lives in the U.K. Busia is best known for her role as Nettie Harris in the 1985 film The Color Purple alongside Whoopi Goldberg.

Zainab Jah

Zainab Jah is an actor, known for her role in Buried Deep. She was awarded the 2012 Los Angeles Stage Alliance Ovation Award for Featured Actress in a Play for "The Convert" co-production with McCarter Theatre Center and Goodman Theatre at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.

Saycon Sengbloh

Saycon Sengbloh (born October 23, 1977) is an American actress and singer. She received Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play nomination and won Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play for her performance in Danai Gurira' play Eclipsed in 2016.

Danai Gurira

Danai Jekesai Gurira (born February 14, 1978) is an American actress and playwright of Zimbabwean ancestry, best known for her role as Michonne on The Walking Dead, an AMC television horror drama series, and as the writer of the Tony Award-winning play Eclipsed.

Liesl Tommy

Liesl Tommy is an award-winning stage director of many productions including A Raisin in the Sun, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and Ruined. Her credits include productions of Danai Gurira’s Eclipsed starring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’s Appropriate, Tracey Scott Wilson’s The Good Negro, and UNIVERSES’s Party People.
