Talk: By All Means Paint

Van Gogh said, “If you hear a voice within you say, 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.” Students, teachers, coaches and administrators should be encouraged to find and use their voices to challenge the status quo, listen to all, and empower each other. Each individual can create a ripple effect of change and innovation that will spread through their school and beyond. In this talk, Sydney Chaffee, 2017 National Teacher of the Year, shares her message around creating beautiful things in classrooms, schools and communities.
