While pursuing both professional guitar playing and computer science at UC San Diego, Erez was enticed by the craft of guitar making. The creation of fine guitars fuses art, music, engineering. In this talk, Erez shares his approach, methods, and craft of building his guitars. Primarily self taught, Erez achieved worldwide reputation for making some of the finest instruments, played by top guitarists around the world such as Paco de Lucia, Angel Romero, and Adam del Monte to name a few.

Erez Perelman

Erez received his PhD in computer science from the UC San Diego on June 2007. He did research with Brad Calder in the High Performance Processor Architecture and Compilation lab, and focused on understanding the behavior of programs during execution. He also enjoys gardening, backpacking/moutaineering after meeting a deadline of creating a guitar. He builds and plays guitars for clients all over the world.
